Personalization

Personalization with placeholders is an add-on feature of InAppStory that allows the improvement of user's personal experience with stories. These placeholders are used to display data that is relevant to each individual user within the stories.

Placeholders can be of two types: text and image. Both types function in the same way as explained above, but for images you will need to add an image to your story, click the Placeholder switch and pick a placeholder created previously.

Best Practices

1. Choose relevant data: Use data that will enhance the user’s experience, such as showing past product views, loyalty points, or personalized discounts.
2. Ensure clarity: Ensure that placeholders are meaningful and don’t overwhelm users with too much personalized information.
3. Test effectiveness: Track user interaction and conversion rates for personalized Stories to optimize the types of data displayed.
4. Keep it simple: Avoid over-complicating personalization. Stick to a few key elements that will truly engage users, like personalized greetings or product suggestions.
